Job Summary

The Sales Executive - Events is responsible for implementing all sales activities in their area of responsibility, under the general guidance and supervision of the Conference and Events Sales Manager in collaboration with the Commercial Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximize conversion of leads and bookings
  • Maximize revenue through upselling
  • Actively convert leads into confirmed sales bookings
  • Conduct 'Bring Back Old Business' and repeat calls to increase demand and overall revenue
  • Promote the hotel facilities by entertaining clients and agents as necessary
  • Achieve conference accommodation and event sales in line with targets
  • Conduct tours of inspections (TOI) of the hotel with potential clients
  • Follow up on sales leads and convert them
  • Effectively negotiate on rates according to selling strategies
  • Ensure all reports are produced as requested by Management
  • Assist C&E Sales Manager in tracking of the revenue development of catering and assist to implement tactics to boost revenue in 'need' periods
  • Execute events through creation of event orders, communication with operations departments and post event follow up with clients

Requirements

  • Minimum two years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong selling skills and understanding of the processes to close the sale
  • Knowledge in desirable
  • A passion for customer service and sales
  • Innovative in the delivery of Sales initiatives
  • Provides consistent and professional support to all team members
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, while multi-tasking and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
