About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity as a Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Specialist to be an integral member of the Australian Energy Market Operator's (AEMO) Talent Acquisition team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the first impressions of our future team members and ensuring their success from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • In partnership with the Talent Acquisition Partners, serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process, ensuring timely communication and updates.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary paperwork, background checks, and pre-employment requirements are completed.
  • Ensure all candidate compliance requirements are met, including the collection and verification of necessary documentation, reference checks, working rights, etc.
  • Work in partnership with the HR Protective Security Advisor to stay informed of any changes in compliance regulations that may impact the hiring process.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve candidate experience, onboarding processes, and compliance procedures, suggesting and implementing enhancements where applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment coordination, HR support, or a related field.
  • Ability to build strong and successful relationships with internal stakeholders across geographically multi-location teams.
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities simultaneously, and handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of the energy sector will be highly regarded.
