Anglicare Sydney is a renowned community organisation in Australia, dedicated to enriching lives and strengthening communities.

We are seeking an experienced Community Life Enrichment Specialist to join our Family and Life Skills Education Team.

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of people across the Sydney Diocese by providing education and training programs to Anglican churches and other Christian organisations.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering evidence-based courses, workshops, and resources to support individuals navigating the 'Seniors' life stage (65yrs plus).

This role involves working closely with the Senior Program Manager to teach the Introductory Pastoral Care Course (IPCC) and pastoral care workshops throughout the year.

The specialist will also ensure that all programs offered are tailored to meet the needs of recipients through consultation and provide well-documented, evidence-based programs whenever possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide education and training programs to Anglican churches and other Christian organisations to support individuals navigating the 'Seniors' life stage (65yrs plus)
  • Teach the Introductory Pastoral Care Course (IPCC) and pastoral care workshops throughout the year
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training and program delivery
  • Maintain effective working relationships with Anglican churches and other key partners
  • Ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for external partnerships
About You

We seek a candidate with passion, enthusiasm, and energy who embodies our organisational values.

The following skills and attributes will significantly contribute to your success in this role:

  • Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Psychology, or equivalent qualification e.g. in aged-care or counselling or nursing
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in delivering psycho-educational courses and seminars related to matters in Senior's life-stage
  • Experience in working with older adults e.g. church setting, para-church ministry, non-government organisations, public or private health, Government
  • Theological study at Certificate Level or above would be an asset
  • Current NSW Driver's License
  • Valid NSW Working with Children's Check
Salary and Benefits

This is a permanent part-time role, with a salary range of $60,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
