
Junior Competitive Swimming Coach

We are seeking a full-time swimming coach to join our team at the Macquarie University Sport and Aquatics Centre. The successful candidate will report to the Head Coach and be responsible for delivering face-to-face training sessions for junior swimmers, targeting metropolitan and state age qualifiers.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a customer-centric mindset with demonstrated experience teaching and coaching within the aquatics industry. You will also have the ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coach junior transition phase swimmers through Junior Competition phase within the squad program.
2. Develop seasonal training plans for junior development aged swimmers focusing on technical stroke correction and competition-based performance.
3. Provide guidance adapting stroke models to suit varying skill levels.
4. Attend and coach at internal/external competitions.
5. Plan and coordinate internal club racing opportunities.
6. Collaborate with the Head Coach and Age Group Swimming Coach on student retention activities.
7. Assist with squad program development using management systems.
8. Maintain accurate athletes' progression records.
9. Complete administrative duties including responding to parent enquiries & providing student feedback.
