Job Title:

Development Coach


About the Role:

Our organization is seeking a passionate and experienced coach to fill a key role in our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering face-to-face training sessions for junior swimmers, targeting Metropolitan & State Age qualifiers.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Craft and develop swimmers from the junior transition phase through to Junior Competition phase within our Squad program.
  • Develop and implement seasonal training plans for junior development aged swimmers, focusing on technical stroke correction and competition-based performance.
  • Provide expert guidance to swimmers of all abilities, adapting stroke models to suit varying skill levels.
  • Attend and coach at internal/external competitions.
  • Plan and coordinate internal club racing opportunities in consultation with the Head Coach.
  • Collaborate with the Head Coach and Age Group Swimming Coach on student retention activities.
  • Assist with squad program development through the use of management systems.
  • Coordinate School Holiday Squad Programs.
  • Maintain accurate athletes/swimmers' progression records.
  • Complete administrative duties, including responding to parent inquiries & providing student feedback.
