Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre is seeking an experienced Swimming Coach to lead our 14 & Under Development program.

About You

We are looking for someone with a customer-centric mindset, excellent communication skills, and experience teaching and coaching within the aquatics industry. You should be able to work well in a team environment and independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop seasonal training plans for junior development swimmers focusing on technical stroke correction and competition-based performance.
  • Provide guidance to swimmers of all abilities adapting stroke models to suit varying skill levels.
  • Attend and coach at internal/external competitions including club races.
  • Plan and coordinate internal club racing opportunities in consultation with the Head Coach.
  • Develop and implement volunteer committees.
  • Collaborate with the Head Coach and Age Group Swimming Coach on student retention activities.
  • Assist with squad program development through management systems.
  • Coach School Holiday Squad Programs.
  • Maintain accurate athletes/swimmers' progression records.
  • Complete administrative duties including responding to parent enquiries and providing student feedback.

Our multi-purpose venue features two indoor heated pools and an outdoor Olympic-sized pool. Our coaching team provides expert guidance to competitive swimmers of all ages.
