About Beacon Lighting Commercial

As a division of Beacon Lighting Group, our Commercial Sales Division offers specialized lighting design and consultancy services tailored for the high-volume residential building sector in Australia. We also focus on project and specification lighting for various commercial establishments, such as apartments, hotels, and aged care facilities. In collaboration with the expanding Trades industry, we are consistently exploring avenues to broaden our network.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, this position is aimed at:

  • Achieving sales and profit targets through the growth of commercial business
  • Identifying market opportunities, fostering and maintaining strong business relationships with commercial clients, and developing proposals, quotes, and trade agreements that align with customer and business requirements

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee overall customer satisfaction for your designated client group
  • Drive and manage sales opportunities to meet budgetary and gross profit margins
  • Provide ongoing insights on market trends and customer interactions
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the customer service experience
  • Act as a product expert, offering feedback to the division regarding client needs and market trends
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication
  • Represent your client group in meetings, seminars, and presentations that contribute to business development

Candidate Profile:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a comparable position, with knowledge of the building, lighting, and electrical sectors
  • Demonstrated sales and negotiation capabilities, preferably within a trade-related business
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to effectively garner support and cooperation from others to achieve results
