Civil Engineer
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and engineering water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, pump stations, and conveyance pipelines.
Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing design requirements, conducting site investigations, calculations, modeling, overseeing drafting, and preparing reports and specifications.
You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions and services both on and off-site.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related field
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design
- Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, and operational practices, as well as relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes
- Ability to identify project and design-related risks
- Experience in managing small to medium engineering design projects
- Commitment to working safely within the company's HSEQ systems
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
