Defence Work Experience Manager

About the Role
The Work Experience Manager role is an exciting opportunity to support the development of Defence careers. As a key member of the Youth Policy and Programs Directorate team, you will be responsible for negotiating, facilitating, and delivering Defence work experience opportunities for high school and tertiary students.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate and facilitate Defence work experience opportunities for students.
- Build strong working relationships with Defence personnel, schools, parents, and youth and diversity related organisations.
- Lead a small team to deliver youth safe programs for the region.
- Communicate goals and priorities clearly and assign resources to deliver work experience programs.
Work Environment
The role requires flexibility in working arrangements, with the possibility of attending Defence sites in the Northern Territory. Most work will be office-based, but the Work Experience Manager may be required to stand for extended periods or walk/participate in activities on a Defence base.
About Our Team
The Youth Policy and Programs Directorate team is geographically spread across Australia, delivering work experience placements for students and developing policy and practices to support the safety of youth in Defence. Team members are supported with opportunities for continuous learning and professional development, especially in youth and diversity related fields.
