Project Manager - Defence Specialist

RPS is seeking a qualified and experienced project manager to lead the delivery of a major Defence project in Alice Springs. As a client-side project manager, you will be responsible for managing construction contracts and contract administration, as well as leading a team of professionals to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage construction contracts and contract administration
  • Lead a team of professionals to deliver the project
  • Ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Develop and implement project management plans
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and team members to ensure effective communication and collaboration

Requirements

  • Australian citizenship and holding or be able to successfully obtain and retain a minimum Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance
  • 5+ years of demonstrated recent construction project experience with client-side and commonwealth or defence project experience desirable
  • Professional qualifications in project management, architectural, engineering, construction management or similar
  • Strong client and stakeholder management, as well as leadership skills
  • Well-developed spoken and reporting/writing skills with strong competence in computer software including the ability to use the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with Microsoft Project desirable
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
  • Completed construction site health and safety course
  • AIPM Certified Practising Project Manager certification or equivalent would be viewed favourably
