Job Description

Defence SA is seeking an experienced leader to fill the role of Executive Director Defence and Industry. This position offers a unique opportunity to drive the growth and development of South Australia's defence and space sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Defence and Industry team to increase defence and space industry presence in South Australia.
  • Implement and improve business development activities, including strategies and plans for land, air, maritime, cyber, space domains and aerospace and science and technology.
  • Understand skills, training, infrastructure and policy requirements in the named disciplines to support a sustainable advanced defence systems and capabilities industry.

Requirements:

  • Strong program and/or portfolio management experience with strategic vision and thought leadership skills.
  • Ability to develop and motivate a high performing team.
  • Financial acumen to deliver projects to budget.
  • Outstanding stakeholder and partnership skills to interact with diverse stakeholder groups.
