Project Manager - Defence Sector

RPS Group is seeking a qualified and experienced client-side project manager to join our team on a full-time permanent basis working on a major Defence project. This role offers scope, autonomy, challenge, collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and a place at the front line on major projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Australian citizenship and holding or be able to successfully obtain and retain a minimum Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance is mandatory.
  • A tertiary qualification in Construction, Architectural, Engineering, or similar is desirable.
  • Experience/exposure with a range of delivery methodologies, in particular, Head Contract, Managing Contractor, and Design and Construct is advantageous.
  • Previous experience across Defence, including Defence writing skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.
  • Proactive and able to think strategically.
  • Australian Citizen and able to successfully obtain and maintain a minimum Baseline Security Clearance.
  • Ability to provide evidence to confirm vaccination status for COVID-19 to meet our client's vaccination requirements in accordance with government regulations.
  • 1+ years client-side PM or a PMCA experience in the industries as mentioned above and familiarity with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (would be preferable, but not essential).
  • AIPM Accreditation or equivalent would be advantageous.
