The Squiz product team is committed to delivering a cutting-edge Digital Experience Platform (DXP) with advanced capabilities, including Content Management, Digital Asset Management, and Platform services.

We’re seeking a skilled Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our product engineering team on a permanent basis, focusing on enhancing the entire DXP. This role is ideal for a full-stack engineer with a passion for user experience and a preference for working on the backend of the tech stack.

This is a hybrid role, allowing you to work from anywhere on the east coast of Australia, with flexibility to work where and when best suits you.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate the following experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in related fields
  • 2+ years of professional hands-on experience in software development, building and maintaining software products
  • Proficiency in full-stack development, with expertise in web-based languages and frameworks, including Node, TypeScript, React, or similar, and cloud platforms such as AWS
  • Solid understanding of testing principles and demonstrated experience in implementing testing strategies to improve software quality and robustness
  • Experience with Agile or other iterative development methodologies, with Scrum being used by most teams
  • Basic understanding of secure coding practices, particularly community standards such as OWASP

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience working on DXP or CMS platforms, or experience integrating or using DXP/CMS platforms
  • Previous experience creating or maintaining Digital Asset Management solutions (DAMs)

In this role, you’ll work within a team of 3-5 software engineers to help build our Digital Experience Platform. You’ll develop and enhance robust application code, collaborate with team members, assist senior engineers, write and maintain software documentation, and follow best practices in software development and architecture.
