Job Description

The Senior Legal Counsel will provide legal guidance and support to various business units, senior leaders, and executives on a broad spectrum of legal matters.

Key qualifications include a legal degree, admission to practice in Australia, and relevant experience in the Banking and Financial Services sector. The ideal candidate should possess strong relationship-building skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to interpret complex legislation and implement strategic policy initiatives.

As a trusted advisor, this role involves partnering with the business to drive strategic initiatives in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment. Responsibilities include providing overall legal support for major projects and transactions, identifying and mitigating risk exposures, and collaborating with colleagues in a culture based on trust and mutual respect.
