Senior Legal Counsel

This is a senior role that involves providing legal advice and support to various business units within the organization. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the banking and financial services sector, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

The ideal candidate will be able to interpret and explain complex legislation, and plan and implement policy and risk management strategies. They will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work effectively with senior executives and business partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and support to business units
  • Assist with overall legal needs for major projects and transactions
  • Support tenders, procurement and technology in the financial services sector
Requirements
  • A legal qualification and admission to practice in Australia
  • Demonstrated experience in the Banking and Financial Services sector (private practice or in-house)
  • Strong relationship-building skills with senior executives and business partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
