Senior Legal Counsel Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced legal professional to provide expert advice and support to our business units, senior leaders, and executives on a wide range of legal matters.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing strategic guidance and support in a fast-paced and heavily regulated environment.
  • Assist with the provision of legal expertise for major projects and transactions, including regulatory compliance and risk management strategies.
  • Offer guidance on key regulatory standards, such as CPS234 and CPS230, and related risk management approaches.
Requirements:
  • A recognised legal qualification and admission to practice in Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the banking and financial services sector (private practice or in-house).
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish trust with senior executives and business partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.
