Senior Legal Professional

Job Description:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead a team of legal professionals in providing high-quality, client-focused and cost-effective legal services. They will be responsible for providing authoritative advice on complex legal and policy issues and appearing or instructing in litigation involving highly complex matters.

They will work predominantly with one of our metropolitan/regional legal teams and may be required to join a different team where business operations necessitate this.

Requirements include travel to metropolitan Children's Courts and Child Protection Offices, as well as intrastate travel to attend/appear at courts in regional locations across Victoria to support our clients.

This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of legal principles and policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and guide a team of legal professionals.
  • Excellent communication abilities and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Deep understanding of legal principles and policies, particularly in relation to children's law.
  • Ability to provide authoritative advice on complex legal and policy issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to appear or instruct in litigation involving highly complex matters.
