Job Opportunity

The role of IT Service Technician involves resolving technical issues related to hardware, software and network systems. This requires utilizing established procedures and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze incidents to identify restoration actions
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems
  • Monitor the progress towards resolution of assigned incidents
  • Support service requests
  • Record potential issues
  • Keep stakeholders informed about progress
  • Evaluate escalation processes as necessary
  • Provide technical support for computer systems, mobile devices and peripherals
  • Assist with basic telephony and UC system support
  • Maintain accurate inventory information
  • Develop knowledge articles for publication
  • Provide training to end users on an ad-hoc basis
  • Participate in on-call shift rotations for out-of-hours IT support
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent required
  • Microsoft Certified Professional qualification (MCP) preferred
  • ITILv3 Foundation Certification preferred

Additional requirements include 2 years of experience supporting IT systems customers, excellent technical knowledge of computer systems and networking, and proficiency in PC skills including Microsoft operating systems and software.
