Head Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Head Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen, leading a team of chefs and ensuring the provision of high-quality food to patients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial cooking, a commercial cooking certificate and minimum level 4 management qualifications. They will also possess excellent leadership skills, be proactive, flexible and able to work well under pressure.

  • Lead a team of chefs to ensure the safe and efficient preparation of meals
  • Oversee the inventory and ordering of ingredients and equipment
  • Work closely with dieticians and speech therapists to ensure texture modified meals meet patient requirements

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement menus that cater to the needs of patients
  2. Manage staff schedules and rotations
  3. Conduct quality control checks on prepared meals
  4. Attend meetings with healthcare professionals to discuss patient care

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Commercial cooking experience
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
