Job Overview

The Research Fellow will lead impactful socio-legal research and influence healthcare policy in a pioneering project focused on obstetric care for disabled women and gender-diverse individuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • To conduct comprehensive socio-legal analysis of scholarly work, policy documents, and community outputs related to obstetric care.
  • Design and conduct qualitative interviews with participants using narrative methodologies to capture their experiences.
  • Coordinate partnerships with research partners and manage the project's advisory group.

Requirements

  • A researcher with expertise in socio-legal analysis and qualitative research methods, possessing excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to improving healthcare outcomes.
  • Hold a PhD in a relevant field such as law, sociology, disability studies, or healthcare.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and experience in conducting interdisciplinary literature reviews.
  • Demonstrate expertise in qualitative research methods, particularly semi-structured interviews.
  • Have experience working with diverse communities, especially disabled individuals or gender-diverse people.
  • Show excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of scholarly publications.
