">About the Role">We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Disability Rights Research Specialist to lead our socio-legal research project, focused on amplifying the voices of disabled women and gender-diverse individuals in obstetric care.">This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate researcher to contribute to groundbreaking work that combines socio-legal analysis with empirical studies.">The successful candidate will have the opportunity to conduct in-depth interviews, analyze complex data, and contribute to scholarly publications that directly influence healthcare policy and practice.">
">Responsibilities">
- Conduct comprehensive socio-legal analysis of scholarly work, policy documents, and community outputs related to obstetric care for disabled women and gender-diverse people.
- Lead empirical research by designing and conducting 40-60 qualitative interviews with participants using a narrative methodology to capture their experiences with obstetric care.
- Coordinate project partnerships with research partners, including Mercy Hospital for Women and The Royal Women's Hospital, and manage the project's advisory group.
- Produce scholarly outputs by analyzing research findings and contributing to academic publications and policy recommendations.
