We are seeking a highly skilled Disability Rights Research Specialist to lead groundbreaking research on obstetric care for disabled women and gender-diverse people.
About the Role- This role involves conducting comprehensive socio-legal analysis, performing an interdisciplinary scoping review of scholarly work, policy documents, and community outputs related to obstetric care.
- The successful candidate will lead empirical research, designing and conducting qualitative interviews with participants using a narrative methodology to capture their experiences with obstetric care.
- You will coordinate project partnerships with research partners, manage the project's advisory group, and produce scholarly outputs analyzing research findings and contributing to academic publications and policy recommendations.
- A PhD in a relevant field such as law, sociology, disability studies, or healthcare is essential.
- You must have strong analytical skills and experience in conducting interdisciplinary literature reviews.
- Expertise in qualitative research methods, particularly semi-structured interviews, is required.
- The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse communities, especially disabled individuals or gender-diverse people.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of scholarly publications, are necessary.
