Lead Groundbreaking Socio-Legal Research
This is a unique opportunity to drive positive change in obstetric care for disabled women and gender-diverse individuals. As a Research Fellow, you will lead innovative research that combines socio-legal analysis with empirical studies.
You will have the chance to conduct in-depth interviews, analyze complex data, and contribute to scholarly publications. Your work will directly influence healthcare policy and practice, improving obstetric care for marginalized groups.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive socio-legal analysis by performing an interdisciplinary scoping review of scholarly work, policy documents, and community outputs related to obstetric care for disabled women and gender-diverse people.
- Leading empirical research by designing and conducting 40-60 qualitative interviews with participants, using a narrative methodology to capture their experiences with obstetric care.
- Coordinating project partnerships by liaising with research partners and managing the project's advisory group.
- Producing scholarly outputs by analyzing research findings and contributing to academic publications and policy recommendations.
To be a great fit for this role, you should:
- Be a passionate researcher with experience in socio-legal analysis and qualitative research methods, possessing excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to improving healthcare outcomes for marginalized groups.
- Hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field such as law, sociology, disability studies, or healthcare.
- Have strong analytical skills and experience in conducting interdisciplinary literature reviews.
- Demonstrate expertise in qualitative research methods, particularly semi-structured interviews.
- Have experience working with diverse communities, especially disabled individuals or gender-diverse people.
- Show excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of scholarly publications.
