Your next career opportunity As a Research Fellow on the "Amplifying the Voices of Disabled Women and Gender Diverse People in Obstetric Care" project, you'll lead groundbreaking research that combines socio-legal analysis with empirical studies.
You'll have the opportunity to conduct in-depth interviews, analyse complex data, and contribute to scholarly publications.
Your work will directly influence healthcare policy and practice, improving obstetric care for marginalised groups.

Your responsibilities will include:

Conduct Comprehensive Socio-Legal Analysis: Perform an interdisciplinary scoping review of scholarly work, policy documents, and community outputs related to obstetric care for disabled women and gender-diverse people.

Lead Empirical Research: Design and conduct 40-60 qualitative interviews with participants, using a narrative methodology to capture their experiences with obstetric care.

Coordinate Project Partnerships: Liaise with research partners, including Mercy Hospital for Women and The Royal Women's Hospital, and manage the project's advisory group.

Produce Scholarly Outputs: Analyse research findings and contribute to academic publications and policy recommendations.

You may be a great fit if: You are a passionate researcher with experience in socio-legal analysis and qualitative research methods, possessing excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to improving healthcare outcomes for marginalised groups.

You may also:

Have a Ph D in a relevant field such as law, sociology, disability studies, or healthcare.

Possess strong analytical skills and experience in conducting interdisciplinary literature reviews.

Demonstrate expertise in qualitative research methods, particularly semi-structured interviews.

Have experience working with diverse communities, especially disabled individuals or gender-diverse people.

Show excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of scholarly publications.
