Job Opportunity: Family Support Professional

Baptcare's Community Services team is seeking a compassionate and dedicated professional to support vulnerable families and children in the West region. As a key member of our team, you will promote and facilitate kinship care arrangements for children who cannot live with their parents.

About the Role:

  • Assessment and Support: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify suitable family members or significant others who can provide a nurturing environment for children in need.\
  • Case Management: Develop and implement tailored case plans to ensure the well-being and safety of children in kinship care arrangements. Provide ongoing support, advocacy, and guidance to family carers addressing their unique challenges and needs.\
  • Collaboration and Networking: Work closely with stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and professionals to ensure seamless service delivery and coordination of care.\
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and legal requirements.\

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, or a related field\
  • Experience in child protection, family services, or kinship care\
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills\
