About the Role

Northern Trust Company Australia, a leading financial institution, is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead its Fund Accounting team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated professional to manage the day-to-day operations of our Fund Accounting business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of fund accounting services to our clients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the Fund Accounting team, providing leadership and guidance to subordinate managers
  • Conduct performance management and career development processes
  • Develop periodic goals, organize work, set short-term priorities, and monitor activities
  • Maintain risk management and compliance programs and activities for the assigned group
  • Operate independently, with in-depth knowledge of the business unit/function
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australia Fund Accounting operational processes, business controls, and technical system specifics
  • Excellent internal and client relationship management skills
  • Leadership and organizational skills, required to determine unit goals and resources needed
  • In-depth functional/industry knowledge, required for strategic direction and decision-making
