
Retail Buying Specialist

The Commercial department is focused on data-driven decision making, product curation and trend analysis. We are dedicated to delivering an exceptional customer experience through a tailored platform of choice.
This role involves working closely with the Category Buyer to identify and capitalize on emerging trends in order to create sell-out assortments. The successful candidate will track market, social and customer signals to forecast future demand, support strategic planning and budget allocation, and contribute to shaping a data-led range that moves quickly from discovery to launch.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with key brands and emerging labels to procure products, negotiate terms and conditions, and drive category growth in line with commercial strategy.
- Partnering with stakeholders across departments to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Evaluating vendor performance, identifying supply chain challenges, and negotiating favourable contracts.
- Managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and analysing data to inform business decisions.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement in the customer onsite experience and proposing informed solutions based on data analysis.
Required skills and qualifications include:
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret trends and propose data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes in the market and industry.
- Proficiency in using data to inform business decisions and drive growth.
- Knowledge of vendor management principles and practices.
