We are currently seeking a highly skilled Safety Professional to join our organization in Melbourne, Australia. As a key team member, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe working environment.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the identification and mitigation of workplace health and safety risks;
- Staying informed of changes in WHS legislation, regulations, and industry best practices;
- Supporting the development and implementation of WHS metrics and KPIs;
- Providing technical WHS advice and support to business leaders;
- Fostering a collaborative approach to WHS;
- Conducting regular safety inspections and audits;
- Contributing to the preparation of WHS reports;
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline;
- A strong knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, standards, and requirements;
- Previous experience in WHS roles, including providing technical advice and support;
- Demonstrated initiative in leading safety conversations;
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, safety inspections, and incident investigations;
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
