Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced health and safety professional to support the development and implementation of our health, safety and wellbeing framework.
- Assist in implementing our health and safety strategy and annual plan to reduce risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain and enhance our health and safety systems and processes, ensuring timely communication of updates and initiatives across the organization.
- Support the development of a proactive health and safety culture by promoting risk awareness and injury prevention, and building strong partnerships across teams.
- Assist business units in identifying hazards, assessing and controlling risks, and consulting with health and safety committee members.
- Monitor incident and risk registers to ensure timely reporting, investigation, and actioning of incidents, including assigning follow-up actions.
- Support workers compensation, injury management, and return-to-work processes in collaboration with the manager health and safety and human resources business partners.
- Contribute to the development and review of health and safety policies, procedures, templates, and guidelines to support best practice risk management.
- Develop and manage health and safety inspection plans across sites, ensuring documentation, compliance tracking, and reporting.
- Review first aid risk assessments in consultation with staff, monitor training currency, and coordinate bookings.
The ideal candidate will possess strong planning and time management skills, initiative and problem-solving ability, and excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills. They will also have qualifications and experience in a similar or related health and safety role.
