This role involves working with young people in foster and residential care, providing additional support for their well-being, safety, and nurturing.
About the Role- Work directly with children and young people to achieve the best outcomes.
- Travel across the region using company vehicles during work hours.
- Opportunities for additional work during school holidays, including weekend shifts.
- Encourage and support children and young people with complex needs.
- Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate crisis management, advocacy, and collaboration skills.
- A relevant qualification such as a Certificate IV in child welfare or equivalent.
- Experience working in residential care or with young people in a community service context.
- Ability to support young people with emotional and psychological support needs.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain necessary clearances.
Passionate about children's welfare and achieving the best outcomes. Possess patience, trust, resilience, flexibility, humour, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
