About headspace:
headspace is Australia's National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds.
They can help young people with mental health and wellbeing, physical health (including sexual health), alcohol and other drug services, and work and study support.
The Role Overview:
This position seeks opportunities to reach out to young people and the communities that support them, to provide education and raise mental health literacy and community awareness.
You will develop, facilitate and evaluate a range of community events, and health and education programs designed to improve mental health literacy and community awareness of challenges faced by young people.
You will work closely with our clinical team, and our youth reference group, to understand the services that headspace provides, to advocate our services to both young people and the wider community.
Requirements:
- Minimum tertiary degree in education/ community development/ youth work/ mental health or another relevant discipline, or, an equivalent level of knowledge gained through education, training and/or experience
- Experience working with youth, with experience working in a similar role highly advantageous
- Ability to identify potential funding sources and prepare the appropriate grant submissions
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card
- Current Driver's License
