About the Role

The Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA) is seeking an accomplished human resources executive to lead its people and culture function. As the Executive Director, People and Culture, you will develop and execute a high-impact people strategy that supports the operational and strategic direction of SRLA.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will deliver high-quality, strategic advice on all people-related matters and lead a superior people and culture function aligned with the ambitions of the organisation. Your ability to develop initiatives that foster a positive, high-performing workplace and strengthen the employee experience across all levels of SRLA will be critical to success in this role.

You will work closely with all members of the executive leadership team to drive organisational performance and achieve business objectives. Your well-rounded skillset across strategic and operational priorities will be underpinned by your systems-thinking approach to quickly understand the operating landscape.

As an exceptional generalist, you will have outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to engage at all levels. You will be well-versed in employee relations matters, with a focus on identifying practical solutions. Your passion for optimising organisational culture will support the delivery of superior outcomes across a multi-billion infrastructure delivery program.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strategic mindset and deep experience leading a high-quality human resources function in a complex organisation. Ideally, you will have experience in infrastructure, construction, and/or government.
