Employment Relations Specialist

Role Overview
The Employee Relations Business Partner is a newly created position designed to develop internal expertise and support complex employee relations matters.
This role sits within the People & Culture department and aligns with ongoing workforce transformation priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategic plans for employee relations and industrial engagement
- Provide analytical and problem-solving skills in industrial relations
- Liaise with unions and manage industrial relations risks
Requirements
- Strong understanding of employee and industrial relations, including industrial instruments and Enterprise Agreements
- Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to advise and coach leaders, develop ER frameworks, and represent the organisation in tribunals
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in large or public sector organisations
- Familiarity with interest-based bargaining
Working Arrangements
The successful candidate will work on a hybrid basis, spending 2-3 days in the office.
They will be required to have strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
As this role involves advising and coaching leaders, the ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal skills.
