Industrial Relations Specialist

This role provides strategic support to the Workplace Relations team in industrial relations matters, focusing on Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and legislation.

  • Offering expert advice on employment terms in accordance with Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and legislation.
  • Leading and supporting enterprise agreement bargaining, advocacy, and negotiations with unions and external bodies.
  • Monitoring the workplace relations landscape, particularly IR and ER, providing strategic guidance on compliance and responding to change.
  • Monitoring employment conditions, minimising industrial disputes, and maintaining stakeholder relationships, especially with unions.
  • Ensuring policies, procedures, and guidelines are current, compliant, and managing IR records and related materials.

To succeed in this position, you will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of HR experience as a subject matter expert in Industrial Relations.
  • Solid experience with Enterprise Agreements, particularly in leading or supporting EA / EBA negotiations end-to-end.
  • A tertiary qualification (certificate/diploma or higher) in HR or a related field, and/or Industrial Relations.
  • Strong HR knowledge, especially in Australian HR practices, legislation, industrial instruments, and frameworks.
