As our Employee Relations Specialist in our Legal team reporting to the Senior Manager Employee Relations, you will manage high-risk/complex cases end to end and draw your experience to provide expert advice and guidance to ensure matters are resolved efficiently and professionally.
This role is extremely diverse, with a range of advocacy, enterprise agreement bargaining, project work, workplace investigations, and whistleblower matters.
This is a fantastic opportunity where you will be proactive and passionate about ER and enjoy the challenge of an incident-rich environment.
You will be an escalation point for the ER team and senior leaders, managing internal and external relationships and providing pragmatic advice and support.
This role is permanent full-time and offers hybrid working arrangements.
Based in either Sydney, Brisbane or Gold CoastA few of your responsibilities:· End to end management of high-risk complex cases.· Represent and advocate for The Star Entertainment Group in the Fair Work Commission and other industrial/employment-related tribunals or regulatory bodies.· Conduct confidential workplace investigations and support leaders with the management of team member grievances and disciplinary matters.· Provide stakeholders with specialist advice on policies, procedures, industrial instrument interpretation, employment risks and other high-risk/complex employment-related issues.· Provide SME advice on project work and ensure all policies, processes, and procedures adhere to current legislative obligations.· Contribute to enterprise agreement bargaining and foster relationships with external stakeholders including relevant unions.
What we will be looking for:· Demonstrated ability in ER within a fast-paced and complex organisation and strong experience in case management, investigations and understanding of strict SLA's.· Demonstrated experience in advocacy and enterprise agreement bargaining.· Exceptional knowledge of current workplace legislations, modern awards, and relevant regulations.· Ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.· Strong experience building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.· Employment law experience will be highly regarded.
About you: You are an expert in dealing with complex employee relations cases with the skills and confidence to work independently and collaborate with senior leaders to resolve varied ER/IR workloads.
