Job Description

This role requires a highly organized and efficient Finance Specialist who can effectively manage financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and communicate with various stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for revenue reconciliation, financial reporting, data entry, record keeping, invoice reconciliation, and communication with vendors, guests, and colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a finance/accounting related position, hold relevant qualifications, and possess basic knowledge of bookkeeping, financial transactions, and MS Office. Knowledge of Opera, Kronos, and PeopleSoft systems is advantageous. The successful candidate must also meet the legal requirements to live and work in Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Revenue reconciliation and financial reporting
  • Data entry, record keeping, and invoice reconciliation
  • Communication with vendors, guests, and colleagues
  • Verification of invoices and other accounting documents or records
  • Daily check management and compliance with hotel policy
  • Internal auditing tasks directed by the Director of Finance
Requirements
  • Previous working experience in a finance/accounting related position
  • Relevant qualifications in Hotel Management and/or in Finance/Accounting related field
  • Basic knowledge of bookkeeping, financial transactions, and MS Office
  • Knowledge of Opera, Kronos, and PeopleSoft systems is advantageous
  • Computer savvy and particularly versed in Microsoft Excel
