Job Overview

The Director of Structured Finance Ratings plays a pivotal role in evaluating complex financial transactions, encompassing innovative asset classes and issuers. As part of a high-performing team of analysts, this individual will be responsible for rating new transactions across various asset classes within the Australian and New Zealand structured finance markets.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Leverage expertise to guide the rating process for highly complex transactions, including those involving novel asset classes and issuers.
  • Provide mentorship and support to team members throughout the execution of new transactions and ongoing surveillance.
  • Manage workflow to ensure timely review of all structured finance transactions and covered bond programs on a continuous 12-month basis.
  • Promote high-quality analytical documentation and effectively present findings in committee meetings.
  • Offer insightful commentary on market and transaction performance.
Key Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated expertise in securitisation markets.
  • A minimum of 7+ years' experience in structured finance, preferably in a credit or analytical capacity.
  • Proven ability in one or more areas: credit analysis and proposal memo preparation, structuring advice and deal execution, legal review of transaction documents, cash flow modeling of securitisation transactions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in report writing.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Superior time management and attention to detail.
