Job Overview

As a Rating Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy of our rates database and delivering exceptional customer service. Your primary responsibility will be to process rates-related customer, property, and account maintenance transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer, property, and account maintenance transactions related to rates
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates to the rates database
  • Liaise with debt recovery agents, payment agencies, and government bodies regarding property and rates matters
  • Deliver excellent customer service via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions
  • Support continuous improvement of rating processes and data quality
  • Assist Team Leader and Coordinator with projects and reporting requirements

Requirements:

  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in customer service, preferably in rates, finance, or local government setting
  • Working knowledge or willingness to learn rating systems and relevant legislation
  • Well-developed communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of data entry accuracy and document handling
