Large Local council requires an experienced Rates or Accounts Receivable Officer for 3 month contract

One of the largest local government councils requires an experienced Rates Officer or Accounts Receivable expert for this busy contract role.

**Your new role**

Reporting to the team leader key duties will include
- Processing high volume transactions relating to rates for customers, properties and maintenance contracts for the local govt catchment area
- Handling customer queries and resolving any rates related accounts issues
- Updating reports and activity status
- Ensuring rates information is entered accurately and on time in line with KPIs

**What you'll need to succeed**
- A strong understanding of Accounts receivable, billings or rates processes would be ideal
- Previous experience of high volume transaction processing
- High attention to detail
- Strong systems knowledge
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
