Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Australian Standards, local Councils, Austroads, Transport for NSW (TfNSW), and other Roads Codes of Practice.
  • Prepare, design, and review traffic management plans, including Traffic Guidance Schemes.
  • Conduct pre-planning and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Oversee and coordinate the various phases of traffic-related tasks on the project, ensuring timely completion and adherence to regulatory specifications.
  • Utilize negotiation skills to obtain permits and foster relationships with relevant authorities, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure accurate rostering and job arrangements for the Traffic Management team, meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Perform all tasks associated with Traffic Management as required by the project, including supervising and assisting the day-to-day activities of the Traffic Management team.
  • Maintain accurate daily activity sheets and authorize modifications to traffic management schemes as needed.
  • Review Traffic Management schemes in accordance with basic rules derived from generic traffic control diagrams.
  • Provide technical advice on Traffic Engineering and Traffic Management, including design, routes, and access.
  • Perform regular inspections of traffic control measures, including road conditions and road safety, to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Liaise and facilitate regular meetings with the Client/stakeholders on traffic management matters for the project.
  • Lead and participate in community and stakeholder engagement activities to address concerns related to traffic, fostering open communication and cooperation.
