The Role

We're looking for a Senior Traffic Engineer to take a lead role in delivering complex traffic staging and design solutions on high-profile transport and infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on role spanning pre-contracts, tenders, and on-ground implementation, with the opportunity to shape a growing traffic team and capability.

You'll bring the ability to manage packages independently, bridge the gap between design and delivery, and work closely with contractors to ensure traffic management supports project methodology and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

·       Lead and contribute to traffic staging and temporary traffic management designs

·       Provide traffic inputs during pre-contract and tender phases

·       Collaborate with delivery teams to implement traffic strategies on major projects

·       Engage with clients, contractors, and site teams to align staging with delivery programs

·       Mentor junior engineers and help develop team capability

·       Apply constructability thinking to ensure designs work in live project environments

What We're Looking For

· years' experience in traffic engineering

·       Strong knowledge of traffic management, staging, signals, and network operations

·       Proven project delivery and/or project management experience (contractor or consultant-to-contractor)

·       Proficiency in road design, including temporary traffic layouts and barrier systems

·       Skilled in AutoCAD and SIDRA

·       PWZTMP (NSW) and/or TMD (QLD) accreditation

·       Road Safety Auditor accreditation (preferred)

·       Chartered status or working towards it

·       Desire to work in a smaller, agile team with end-to-end project involvement
