Procurement and Contract Management Roles

The agency is seeking detail-oriented individuals to join its Procurement and Contract Management team in Canberra.

These roles will be based full-time hours in a 12-month contract role, contributing to the delivery of effective procurement and contract management outcomes that support the agency's strategic objectives.

About the Roles:

Aps5 & Aps6 Contract Managers

Lead administrative activities such as monitoring deliverables, milestones, and records. Ensure compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and agency policies. Provide administrative and reporting support to the procurement team.


Aps6 Contract Manager Officers

Lead and manage low to medium complexity procurement processes. Draft and negotiate contract terms, including performance and renewals. Provide advice on procurement strategy, risk management, and compliance. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to capability development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and frameworks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Experience with procurement and financial systems is desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications in procurement, contract management, business or a related discipline are highly regarded.

Classification: APS5 or APS6

Work type: Non-ongoing labour hire arrangement

Hours: Full time (40 hours per week)
