Program Management and Financial Administration Officer

The successful candidate will provide financial management, program administration, procurement, and contract management support to the National Office team of the Office of Australian War Graves (OAWG).
Responsibilities will include:
- High-level administration and record-keeping
- Financial administration, including budgeting and forecasting
- Procurement and contract management, including tendering and contract negotiation
- Supporting staff located in the National Office and in state and territory Depots
- Responding to requests and enquiries from staff and external clients
- Contact with internal and external stakeholders
- Creating and searching databases
- Conducting information audits
- Writing and editing reports, formal correspondence, and contributing to other written work as required
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with attention to detail and adapting to dynamic workloads
- Demonstrated experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
- Qualifications and/or experience in financial management, procurement, and contract administration
- A sound understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013
- The ability to acquire knowledge of OAWG systems and processes
This is an APS5 or APS6 equivalent hourly rate contract, notionally for 6 months with a view to extend. The position is based in Canberra, ACT, and only Australian citizens will be considered for this vacancy. A National Police Check (within the last 6 months) is preferred, or willingness to obtain.
