We are seeking an experienced EL2 Director to lead our Program Management Office, overseeing the delivery of Australia's New Vehicle Efficiency Standard (NVES). As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for driving the program's success, coordinating and reporting on its progress, and establishing key strategic relationships with stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead a small team of officers in coordinating and reporting on the NVES program
  • Establish and maintain key strategic relationships with stakeholders
  • Be responsible for the NVES Project Schedule and maintaining its authority across multiple streams of work
  • Coordinate reporting activities with project leads to maintain accountability and visibility
  • Develop and maintain business and risk planning, including identifying and mitigating potential risks
  • Work closely with project leads to ensure issues are identified and resolved
  • Develop and maintain a healthy project architecture, including software to track progress
  • Develop and maintain a robust record-keeping protocol
  • Work flexibly and proactively to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Demonstrate ability to manage urgent priorities and problem-solve

  • Provide strong and healthy project management rituals and facilitate administrative and coordination requirements
