Sport Sector Development Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, celebrating and advocating for the sport sector. They will play a critical role in managing day-to-day operations and administrative tasks including membership and communications.
Key Responsibilities:- Event Management:
- Plan and execute events with attention to detail ensuring maximum coverage through media agencies;
- Liaise with stakeholders and manage awards ceremonies from nomination processes to ticket sales;
- Ensure events are executed to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
- Operations, Administration, and Communications:
- Manage membership database and member liaison efficiently;
- Update and maintain website content to ensure accuracy and relevancy;
- Develop and distribute external communications including electronic newsletters;
- Monitor social media channels and oversee office management.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Manage volunteers at events as required;
- Perform other tasks as necessary to meet business demands.
The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and involves internal and external communication with staff, members and stakeholders including State Sporting Organisations and corporate partners.
