We are seeking a talented individual to play a critical role in helping Develop, Celebrate, and Advocate for the sport sector, ensuring more people and communities in NSW enjoy the benefits of sport and active recreation.
About the Job
- Manage day-to-day operations and administration, including membership and communications.
- Plan and execute events, including educational seminars, industry conferences, and awards ceremonies.
- Liaise with media agencies to ensure maximum coverage of our events.
Responsibilities
- Oversee office management, including records management and stakeholder communication.
- Monitor and manage social media channels.
- Respond to phone and email enquiries efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
- Can-do attitude and experience in general office administration and customer service.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Canva/Revolutionise Sport.
- Experience in event management and running programs.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of the NSW and Australian sports sector structure and stakeholders' roles in sport.
- Experience with website management and administration.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in business management, marketing and communications, or sports administration.
Work Environment
We offer a hybrid workplace arrangement with agreed days in the office.
When in the office, this position is based at Sports House - Level 2, 6B Figtree Drive, Sydney Olympic Park.
Remuneration Package
A remuneration package of circa $75,000-$80,000 plus superannuation will be available to the successful candidate, depending on skill level and experience.
