Bereavement Counsellor Role

As a bereavement counsellor, you will have the opportunity to work with individuals who have experienced loss. Your role will involve providing one-to-one counselling sessions, either in person or via phone or telehealth.

About the Role

This permanent part-time position is available on Fridays and is based in a comfortable cottage near a hospital. The ideal candidate will have a graduate or postgraduate degree in Counselling, Psychology, Psychotherapy, Social Work or an equivalent tertiary qualification as recognised by the relevant professional body.

  • Deliver high-quality counselling services to clients experiencing bereavement and grief
  • Provide support and guidance to individuals navigating complex emotions
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

To succeed in this role, you will require excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and advanced knowledge of models of bereavement, grief and loss.
