Job Title: Community Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to fill the role of Community Engagement Specialist. This position is a vital part of our Night Out program, designed to identify and support vulnerable individuals.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients who are intoxicated and in need of assistance, providing referrals to relevant services such as ambulance, police, hospitals, child safety, and sexual assault services.

To excel in this role, you must possess a high level of commitment to empathy, respect, and inclusivity, aligning with our organization's values.

  • Maintaining accurate records of client interactions and service provision.
  • Ability to work night shifts.
  • Prior experience working with people under the influence of alcohol and other drugs is highly regarded.
  • First aid certification is highly regarded.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families, and communities is highly valued.
  • Culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds experience is also highly regarded.

Compliance requirements include a current QLD drivers licence 'Class C' or interstate equivalent, Blue Card (Working with children card), national Police Check, and current First Aid & CPR Certifications.
