Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on issues management, stakeholder engagement, and risk assessment to senior leaders and project teams.
  • Build strong relationships with ministerial staff, government representatives, community organisations, and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies for high-risk infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate community consultations, road openings, media events, and other activities to support project delivery.
  • Monitor regional projects to identify emerging trends and communication risks.
  • Prepare high-quality executive correspondence, reports, and briefing materials while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Lead a collaborative, customer-focused team, mentoring staff, and fostering professional development in communication and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements:

A degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing would be desirable. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in communications, PR, or related fields, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership, and team management abilities.
