About the Role

The company is partnering with a leading construction group to deliver exceptional interior and new build projects across various sectors. As the NSW Construction Manager, you will lead and manage construction activities within the fit out division, focusing on live site D&C projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic direction to the construction team in New South Wales, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Oversee multiple projects from inception to completion, adhering to schedule and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with estimating and pre-construction teams to review project proposals and budgets.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for timely procurement and effective communication.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and address issues impacting successful delivery.
  • Foster strong client relationships through regular updates and proactive problem-solving.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets and track costs.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams for constructability and coordination of design intent.
  • Lead and mentor project managers, providing guidance and performance evaluations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to improve project delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on fit out projects.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Proven experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of construction methodologies and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • NSW Builder's License or relevant certifications preferred.
